How are containers transported from China?
Container transportation is carried out with whole containers of any size (20-foot, 40-foot, 40 High Cube, 45 High Cube, 20OT/40OT, 20REF/40REF, 20FT/40FT, etc.) and groupage cargo. When ordering FCL (Full Container Load) you pay for the entire container. In the LCL (Less than Container Load) option, consolidation with cargo from other clients or products from several suppliers is possible. In this case, the cost is divided among all consignees, which makes transportation more profitable for everyone. Consolidation is carried out at warehouses in the following Chinese cities - Ningbo, Chongqing, Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
What types of containers are there?
A standard sea dry cargo container is a 40-foot side-opening container, which weighs 3.4 tons with the ability to transport cargo weighing 26.7 tons and a volume of 67 m3.
To transport heavy weight products, reinforced versions with the ability to transport up to 32 tons are used.
