Huge production capacity and modern equipment make China one of the leaders in the creation of consumer goods, equipment and other popular items. In addition, China is already one of the creators of everything new and accessible in our world.
Export profitably by bringing high quality products to the US market at a reasonable price.
What are the delivery conditions from China to the USA?
Incoterms DDP and DDU
Incoterms are eleven unified rules that are applied in global trade and fix the rights and obligations of the parties to a foreign trade agreement regarding the delivery of products from the seller to the buyer. In our work we mainly use DDP, DDU.
1) DDP is when the client pays all customs duties to us before sending the goods, and we ourselves pay them for the client at the customs office of destination. Mainly used for delivery to the countries of the USA, Canada, Australia, Mexico, as well as Europe and England.
2)DDU is when the client pays all customs duties after the goods arrive at the customs office of destination and the customs office issues an invoice for payment of customs duties to us, and we must transfer it to the client.
In order to quickly resolve the delivery and ensure the safety of the company, our team approximately calculates the customs duty based on the value of the consignment, which must be paid before shipment, along with the delivery fee.
And after the customs office issues an invoice, the client pays the difference, or if the duty is less than the client’s advance payment, we will refund the difference.
All documents are provided.
International transportation from China to the USA is the most popular direction for the delivery of goods, which works like clockwork.
There are two ways to deliver to the United States of America:
Air:
We deliver goods in several ways:
Charter and standard flights
Cargo and passenger aircraft
Delivery time:
Air consolidation - 6-10 days
Express - 1-5 days
Types of cargo that we transport by air:
✅ general - do not require individual processing and special safety measures (clothing, household items)
✅ special - need special conditions (perishable foods, valuable items)
✅ dangerous - additional documents required (safety data sheet)
Sea:
Advantages of sea delivery:
✅ Low price compared to air delivery - the ships have a large carrying capacity and high efficiency.
✅ Ability to transport heavy and bulky cargo.
Solid and bulky goods are transported in special containers, which reduces loading time on the ship and simplifies cargo placement.
Transportation in containers is cheaper and takes less time.
Disadvantages of sea delivery:
✅ Delivery time is longer
✅ A transshipment point is needed before and after loading - this disadvantage is compensated by the fact that most goods are first consolidated in warehouses anyway.
Types of container transportation
Full Container Load (FCL) - transportation of a full container. Only one customer's goods are loaded into one container. Advantages:
✅ Faster - no need to wait for other clients.
✅ Containers are sealed at the factory, so the risk of damage is minimal.
Less Container Load (LCL) – consolidated delivery. The container is filled with goods from different suppliers and clients.
Advantages:
✅ You can deliver small batches of goods, smaller than a container.
✅ You do not pay for the entire container, but only for the volume of your goods.
✅ Processing at the warehouse is cheaper
Flaws:
✅ You have to wait for goods from other clients for joint shipment, although our volumes allow us to send goods on nearby ships.
✅ Additional processing is needed in the warehouse for consolidation and redistribution of goods.
